Project Overview

The brief was to complete UX research and a new website design for Pembrokeshire Salt.

My Tasks included:

  • Research and Personas
  • Moodboard and Initial Sketches
  • LowFi Wire Frames
  • Original HighFi Wireframes and Graphics (The completed website did have some changes made to the initial design)

The Process

Reviewing the flow of the old site and assessment of what was needed to improve the UI/UX process. Ascertaining where any pinch points were and establishing clarity on what the clients specific requirements were from a new site.

I did a lot of research around existing market competitors and analysis of their current platforms. I created a post-it wall where all the research undertaken is displayed. This tactile and flexible visual aid helps me to work through the user experience. It remains up during the design process as a prompt and to ensure I don't miss anything.

Results

I really enjoyed undertaking thorough, in-depth UX processes on this project. It was rewarding to see my initial research and design elements reflected in the resulting wireframes. Despite the highfi designs subsequently being changed, the process undertaken at the beginning of the project ensured a solid foundation to work from and ultimately met the client's design and function needs.

All UX work was completed by myself while under employment at United Studios. They have since been acquired by another company, the copyright for this project belongs to United Studios.
